Tourmalinated quartz is formed when black tourmaline grows inside of a clear quartz crystal. The tourmaline forms small sticks inside the quartz crystal, often causing a sunburst effect within the stone. It can be absolutely clear, grey, or white with black inclusions, and often the black tourmaline will cause the stone to have an overall green cast. These nugget beads feature all black, grey, and clear beads with beautiful natural tourmalation.
