Blog Love #4 – Best Craft Blog Reads from Around the Web (Holiday Edition)

We’ve been admiring the creativeness of crafters around the web as we all get into the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas! In this post, we share some of our favorite blog posts and craft tutorials that we’ve stumbled upon lately.

1. Hand-lettered Thanksgiving Gift Boxes

We loved this simple yet beautiful idea of hand-lettering burlap gift boxes to present a Thanksgiving gift in. Danielle from Storypiece demonstrates how to do lettering techniques using a black Sharpie pen in this tutorial from her blog.

2. No-carve Thumbtack Pumpkins

Kristie from Gold Standard Workshop shared a great tutorial on how to make a very pretty feature for the Thanksgiving table. Her no-carve thumbtack pumpkins are truly beautiful and would add the wow-factor to any festive celebration! You could also achieve a similar effect with flat back glue-on beads or sequins too.



3. DIY Faux Floral Table Runner for Thanksgiving

While we’re on the point of dressing the Thanksgiving table, we came across another beautiful Thanksgiving décor project made by Lexy at Proper – this stunning DIY faux floral table runner, made from silk flowers!

4. Stamped Clay Ornaments

Kleinworth & Co posted a tutorial on how to make stamped clay ornaments as beautiful decorations for the Christmas tree. These are really easy to make with a classic homemade clay recipe using just three ingredients.

5. Cranberry Wreath DIY Project

This stunning cranberry wreath project over at A Beautiful Mess is perfect for the holiday season and uses real cranberries. You could make a similar, beaded version out of our Gold Marbled Opaque Red Czech Glass Beads!

6. Sparkling Glitter Ornaments

If you’d like to add some sparkle to your Christmas decorations this year, take a look at these DIY glittery ornaments for the Christmas tree over at Domestically Blissful. Giustina shares how to make them in a tutorial complete with photos.

7. Inspiration for DIY Holiday Jewelry
