I got a felting kit on eBay from China. I think it was $8 and change. I intended on making little cats but my first go at it was not so good. I see things like below and want to make them but it would seem it takes a lot of skill for that…

So have you tried it yourself? How hard do you think it is?

I wanted to make small miniatures to use as charms for necklaces, earrings, and key-chains.

I’m not an expert in felting, but I think that making such tiny thingies must be very difficult, why don’t you start with something larger?

I never tried it, but I agree. Doing something that small requires a lot of skill, if you want it to come out good and in detail like those in the picture. You should definitely start out with something bigger until you get the hang of it.
