What do you guys think is the best way to market yourself when you are attempting to sell your handmade crafts? Is a website a good idea? Facebook groups?

It is too broad of a topic, I would recommend to learn about marketing in general first, otherwise you would be walking in the dark, so to speak. I can recommend this free Udacity course: https://www.udacity.com/course/app-marketing–ud719

Don’t let the title discourage you, there is a lot of info about marketing that’s useful regardless of your niche.

I would recommend this terrific blog: http://mywifequitherjob.com/our-story/

A lot of info on how to start and manage an online business, running a website, promotion from the owner of Bumblebee Linens.

I’m a fan of April Dunford. Watch everything you can find on Youtube starting from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgwJbE1wIzk&t=366s for straight, no-nonsense marketing advice.

Those are great resources! For me, Twitter works the best. Facebook groups are definitely worth a shot, but it is difficult to find a good one that has buyers as well as sellers.

Here is one more useful resource for Shopify users: https://www.warriorforum.com/ecommerce-sites-wholesaling-drop-shipping/1134257-currently-doing-200-sales-day-8000ish-shopify-fb-questions.html

Warriorforum is great in general, but this particular topic is about selling jewelry.

As someone who has always been scared of SEO, I found myself hooked on MOZ youtube videos. This difficult topic doesn’t get more entertaining than this https://www.youtube.com/user/MozHQ/videos

Re Jamie’s point, you could set up a Shopify storefront and drive traffic from Facebook, Youtube channel and such. I know that many people (as well as mysef) are afraid of not being in a marketplace where you are basically guaranteed sales (or not! read Etsy forums), but that’s how all the big guys do it. Who knows, maybe you are the next marketing genius. Just try!

    Sorry for the typo’s…

This website has an app and actually offers accredited degrees… Certification, diploma, associate, master, etc…it even offers comprehensive lessons on the psychology of consumers if you truly want to get in-depth. I found that reading jewelry blogs give you great info and sort of show you how they market themselves!
